Lok Sabha Elections 2019 is scheduled from April 11 to May 19, 2019, and there is no much time left for polling. The Election Commission, political parties and the government make efforts to encourage people to turn up on the polling day to vote. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) just made one effort which became a funny meme. While urging people to cast their votes, PIB used a 90’s classic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)’s iconic dialogue.

The PIB tweeted the famous dialogue ‘Jaa Simran jaa, jee le apni zindagi’ to drive home the point. The tweet reads as “Every Election Is Determined By The Voters Who Turn Up. Voting is not just a responsibility, its a duty. Be a responsible citizen, turn up to vote….#ItMatters#GeneralElections2019 #LokSabhaElections2019 #Elections2019”

The picture shared along with Tweet reads as,

“Amrish Puri: Kya kaha, Raj har baar vote deta hai!!”

“Kajol: Han Bauji”

“Amrish Puri: Jaa Simran jaa, he is a responsible citizen”

Just after, PIB uploaded this on Monday afternoon, it soon went viral on social media:
