During his spell with second new ball, Starc rushed in and kept bowling consistently over 150 kmph. During this, one of his delivery read 160.4 kmph on the speed-gun and he became only the fourth bowler to clock a speed of 160 or over in International cricket.
Facing this landmark delivery was Ross Taylor. Starc bowled a yorker that Taylor successfully dug out. Starc joined his compatriots Jeff Thomson, Shaun Tait and Brett Lee on the list of fastest deliveries bowled. However, it is Pakistan’s former fast bowler- Shoaib Akhtar, who currently tops the list at 161.3 kmph.
