We have often experienced and have seen that when children fail their board exams, parents get really upset and angry on their children for not performing well enough to even pass the examination. Well, the same is not with every parent and in an unusual gesture, a man from Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district has thrown a party for his son who flunked Class 10 board examination. The reason to celebrate his son’s failure was to motivate him to perform better the next time.

Surendra Kumar Vyas is a Civil Engineer who invited his relatives and friends for the surprise bash and only after guests reached the venue they realized that he has thrown the party for his son Ashu.

Surendra Kumar Vyas spoke to a leading daily and said, “This is how I want to motivate my son. After failing in exams, children go into depression and some even commit suicide. I want to tell such children that boards are not the last exam.”

“My son can reappear in the exam again next year and with hard work can get better marks.”He added.

Ashu Vyas was delighted with the gesture and said, “I love my father and promise to study hard in this academic session so that I pass with flying colours.”

Madhya Pradesh Board has declared results its 10th and 12th board examination results on May 15 and the overall pass percentage was 66% but sadly within few hours of the declaration of the results, seven students had committed suicide.
