MS Dhoni’s retirement from captaincy came as a shock to many. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a video paying tribute to one of India’s best captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The two minute 58-second video has captured all the positives of Dhoni and pays the perfect tribute to his incredible captaincy. MS Dhoni has led India to a number of monumental victories and this is clearly portrayed in the video. The video captures the incredible moments like winning the World Cup after 28 years in the 2011 World Cup to finally taking home the Championship Trophy in 2013. The video also highlights the humble gestures made by Dhoni that prove his charm, like making Sourav Ganguly the captain in his final Test match.

MS Dhoni’s tag of best finisher is also captured in the video where some incredible sixes played by the captain is shown, including the monumental six in the finals against Sri Lanka, that brought home the 2011 World Cup. Dhoni is the only captain in the world to have won all three ICC championship trophies, the T20 World Cup in 2007, the World Cup in 2011 and the Championship Trophy in 2013. The 35-year old announced on Wednesday, January 4, 2016, that he would be stepping down for captaincy in limited overs cricket. The iconic batsman will still be playing as a part of the team in the upcoming series against England beginning from January 15.
