Former top cop Kiran Bedi has expressed the desire to be the Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate to be Delhi Chief Minister. The retired policewoman shared her thoughts on Twitter. She also revealed that she was offered the candidature earlier but had refused it. In hindsight, she feels she should be given a chance again.
Kiran Bedi was a staunch supporter of the Anna Hazare movement against corruption. She was seen working shoulder to shoulder with Arvind Kejriwal for the movement before he branched out and formed the Aam Aadmi Party.
Kejriwal was elected as Delhi Chief Minister but resigned amidst controversy (for which he has apologised) and a lot of criticism from Bedi. With Anna Hazare fizzling out, she immediately turned a BJP and Narendra Modi supporter.
Now it seems, Kiran Bedi wants a shot at the most important position in the state of Delhi. Will she get it?
