Manchester Arena, November 10: In a shocking incident, English football player, Wayne Rooney slapped wrestler Wade Barrett in front of thousands of fans at WWE Raw on Monday night. Wayne Rooney, who captains Manchester United and England, attended the WWE Raw show along with Old Trafford No 2 Ryan Giggs and former team-mate, now at West Bromwich Albion, Darren Fletcher.
During the WWE Raw event, Wayne Rooney got chance to show off his pugilistic abilities when he indulged in war of words with 6ft 7in WWE superstar Wade Barret. Before the between Cesaro and Sheamus, Barrett tried to provoke Rooney with his usual thrash. “You know, Wayne, I would offer to have you step inside this ring so we could fight this out like men. Because let’s face it, he gets to experience that every single time you step foot on the football pitch,” said Barret, who is from England and a fan of Preston North End.
