It is election time in Pakistan and the possibility of witnessing the most absurd or surprising tactics used by election candidates is too high. Well, Pakistan has had bizarre campaigns in the past, and things are pretty much the same this election season as well. Be it a PML-N supporter who bought a real lion on streets of Lahore to campaign for his party or a candidate in Karachi who ate his lunch sitting on a pile of garbage, party candidates are leaving no stone unturned in their bid to convince the electorates to vote for them.

One thing which is common during any elections in Pakistan is that the power-holders talk about India in a negative tone. In fact, this strategy has helped the candidates to win elections. However, no one can deny the fact that Pakistan loves Bollywood stars and the business of Hindi films is the proof of that. Recently cricketer Imran Khan, who is the head of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had accused India by saying that it has tried to weaken the power of Pakistan, but ironically one of the candidates from his party has used images of Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit on his posters, with the cricket bat symbol of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the middle.

Take a look at the poster here:

The PTI candidate’s poster was certainly a source of amusement for the Twitterati from both the countries, who seemed to enjoy this new strategy as they shared their views in a quirky way.

The unique poster has gone viral on the Internet, unleashing rumours that the flamboyant Pakistani politician has roped in Bollywood superstars for the July 25 election campaign. As per many Twitter users, the poster featuring the two iconic Indian actors reportedly came out in Multan in Punjab.
