Pakistan fans may not have that many good memories from the just-concluded second Test against Sri Lanka at Colombo, but Wahab Riaz’s courageous act certainly made them proud. Wahab, who suffered an injury during the first innings of the Test match, walked out to bat with a broken hand as Pakistan was in deep trouble on day four. Also Read- Injured Wahab Riaz out of Sri Lanka Test series.

The fast bowler without caring much tried to inflate Pakistan lead, which was lingering below 150 when Wahab made it to the crease with a fractured hand. He joined Zulfiqar Babar as the last batting pair for Pakistan. Wahab managed to face ten deliveries successfully before being dismissed by Dushmaantha Chameera. The right-hander scored six runs, which included a boundary as well.

On the opening day of the Test Wahab was hit on the left hand by Chameera’s delivery that resulted in hairline fracture on his bowling hand. Wahab was later ruled out of the remainder of the series. Pakistan eventually lost the Test, and now the series is levelled one each with one Test to go. Watch Wahab’s brave display in the video below.
