With the most anticipated trailer of Vivek Oberoi starrer, PM Narendra Modi, finally out, microblogging site Twitter is flooded with reactions. The Omung Kumar directorial covers the journey of Narendra Damodardas Modi – from his humble beginning to his years as Gujarat Chief Minister, onto his landmark win at the 2014 general election and finally becoming the 14th Prime Minister of India.

Taking to his Twitter handle late on Wednesday night, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news of the trailer being out. He tweeted, “Trailer of #PMNarendraModi… Stars Vivek Anand Oberoi in the title role… Directed by Omung Kumar B… 5 April 2019 release… In #Hindi, #Tamil and #Telugu… #PMNarendraModiTrailer:” (sic)

Ever since the news came out, Twitter has been buzzing with the reactions of Bollywood lovers but the 2 minutes 35 seconds long trailer received more flak than appreciation.

Talking about the film being termed as a propaganda film, Sandip said, “We are filmmakers and we did our job by making the film. How politicians are going to respond to that is up to them. Now the trailer is out. I know that people are constantly talking on the point if it is a propaganda film, but let the audience judge after watching it. As makers of the film, we are focusing on how we are releasing the film. We are trying to present a true story in an honest manner to our audience. We have made the film with honesty.”

Ahead of Lok Sabha 2019 elections in May, the biopic has been preponed from April 12 and will hit the cinema screens on April 5 now. The Vivek Oberoi starrer will then clash with John Abraham‘s RAW-Romeo Akbar Walter at the Box Office.
