Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Salman Khan’s upcoming film has launched their new song Prem Leela. The trailer for the movie was recently launched and in true Sooraj Barjatya style it promises to be a family entertainer with the ups and downs of an affluent extended family.

Salman Khan is seen dancing to represent the act of Ramayan act enacting the role of a soldier, probably Hanuman. There is a very elaborate chunni spread out on which a pair of feet rest denoting the presence of Shri Ram. The characters playing the roles of Lord Ram and Sita are very ordinary looking people which adds to the contrast of a well-dressed and good looking Prem dancing as he dons a bright blue kurta.

The extended family and all the people they love and care for fill up what looks like an in-house auditorium meant for such events. If you have seen Sooraj Barjatya‘s older movies like Hum Aapke Hai Kaun then you will understand that the families that he shows in his films usually can afford to buy the state they reside in but due to the right moral values and the right sanskaari upbringing, they think about the collective growth of the their factory workers wherever they may be set up.

Raavan is shown as a playful character because this is a family production so the worst thing that a man can do is mischief. Raavan had kidnapped Lord Ram’s wife, Sita from her hut after fooling her to come out of the protected dwelling. Raavan had transformed himself to seem like a poor hermit who was in need of food when he asked Sita to cross the Lakshmanrekha (line drawn by Lakshman, Lord Ram’s younger brother to protect Sita) so that she could be kidnapped and taken to Lanka (now Sri Lanka) which was the abode of Raavan.

The song will be a hit aiming at family entertainment in mind. It could also become a chartbuster with the right marketing. Check out Salman Khan dance in his style which is winning hearts all over.
