Prem Ratan Dhan Payo starring Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor and others in Sooraj Barjatya’s comeback film. Prem’s character played by Salman Khan also makes a comeback with PRDP. The music of the film could have been better but the songs have a lot of potential to catch on given the right amount of media bombardment by the press team of the film.
In the music review of the film published earlier today, we mentioned that some songs are good while others are just satisfactory. Himmesh Reshammiya, despite his infamy as a singer like most music composers has a good number of films under his belt but this might not be one that wins a lot of awards in India or abroad. Salman Khan dancing for the Prem Leela video is fun to watch a few times but the kiddish song gets on your nerves after a bit. Jalte Diye is probably the best song from the album. Bachpan Kathan sung by Himmesh is not bad for children. If you are a Yo Yo Honey Singh fan or want a techno track or EDM song then you better steer clear of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. If you want some good old melody from a throwback film from the 1990s then you might enjoy the album of PRDP.
