Internet sensation and Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier, who has won many hearts with her wink, is the latest celebrity to contribute for the noble cause i.e. to help flood-hit people of Kerala. The actress has donated Rs 1 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Distress Fund of Kerala on the occasion of Onam i.e. Friday, August 24. She also clarified that she is not doing this for publicity.

Priya Prakash Varrier took to Instagram to share her contribution and clarified that she is not seeking publicity from this announcement. She captioned, “This Onam, doing what I can for our state. Actions speak louder than words. Make your valuable contributions now. This is nothing done for publicity. It is just that people should be aware of the amount we are donating to the fund so that they utilise it properly. Please do not degrade even if not appreciate.#aghoshangalillashamsakalmatram.”

Earlier, in an Instagram post, the Oru Adaar Love actress also appealed to the fans to contribute whatever they can to Kerala Chief Minister’s fund. Celebrities like Mohanlal, Mammootty and many others from Mollywood have donated for the relief works. Not just Malayalam film industry, film fraternity from across the country have done its bit to the cause.
