Notorious for pulling away youngsters into the abyss of its addiction, multi-player game PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) is once again in news and this time for stealing the groom’s attention from his wedding. A video trending viral across social media platforms shows a couple seated on stage, waiting for guests to come up and bless them. However, the groom seems too engrossed in the battle royale game as the bride looks on helplessly.

The TikTok video immediately broke the Internet for its funny content as the clip shows the groom shoving away a gift from a guest as it blocked his smartphone screen causing a distraction to his gaming. The viral video, though seems staged, has already garnered over 94k views and is still grabbing eyeballs of Twitterati who can’t stop laughing at the bride’s helpless reaction.

Recently, the ban on Chinese video creating app TikTok, one of the world’s most popular mobile applications, has worried PUBG fans that online multiplayer game can be targeted next in India. Both apps have ‘inappropriate content’. Madras High Court issued a directive to the Government of India to ban downloads of TikTok app as it was believed to promote pornographic content. Likewise, it is assumed that exposure to PUBG could increase violence among children.

Netizens are scared after TikTok ban that PUBG might be in the list now. Gujarat Police has requested Google to remove PUBG game from the play store and prevent its download in the jurisdiction of Rajkot city.

Earlier, a class 10 boy had committed suicide in Telangana after being scolded for not studying enough for his class X exams and continuing to play PUBG instead. ANI had then reported that the body had been sent for postmortem. A case had been registered and an investigation was underway.

Both TikTok and PUBG are the hottest and trendiest apps in India. Both of them are being accused of corrupting the country’s youth. Some of the fans are talking about going back to older games like Left for Dead, Call of Duty, and GTA V.
