Railways Minister DV Sadananda Gowda made announcements about a line of new measures for the Railways in his maiden budget presentation in Lok Sabha. But the opposition were not content with the promises and proposals made today at the Railway Budget 2014. The Congress protested outside Railway Minster’s residence against the Rail Budget 2014 terming it as a ‘pro-rich’ approach. During the protest, Congress leader, Mukesh Sharma stomped on Gowda’s nameplate with other protesters shouting slogans against the Rail Minister.
A huge commotion broke out near DV Sadananda Gowda’s official residence in the capital New Delhi, while the police officials tried to control the situation.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has also slammed the Rail Budget and protested saying that the budget id highly uninspiring and it is like service budget. He also remarked about his disappointment that states such as Kerala and Bengal were left out and it’s not a ‘pro-poor’ decision.
