Guess Rana Daggubati‘s birthday gift came a day earlier as the makers released the second look of the actor, as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, from the upcoming NTR Biopic, Kathanayakudu. Rana, who celebrates his birthday today, resembles uncannily similar to the real-life young Chandrababu Naidu in the poster released yesterday and we can’t wait to watch the movie’s trailer already. While the Baahubali actor, who turns 34 today, plays the onscreen son-in-law of NTR, Rakul Preet plays the role of Sridevi in the biopic and posters of her look in the movie have already been released.

The film is based on the life of legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR. In the movie, the role of NTR will be essayed by his son, Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is a mirror image of his actor-director-politician father. The latest look is feeding the fans excitement who have been eagerly waiting for the movie in which Vidya Balan will be playing the female lead as NTR’s real-life wife, Basavatarakam, whom the politician married when he was 20 years old.

Movie critic and Indian film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the poster and wrote, “Rana Daggubati as Nara Chandrababu Naidu in #NTRBiopic… Trailer on 16 Dec 2018… Audio on 21 Dec 2018… #NTRKathanayakudu will release on 9 Jan 2019… #NTRKathanayakudu #NTRMahanayakudu #HBDRanaDaggubati.”

While Sumanth, another Telugu film industry stalwart, will be essaying the role of A Nageswara Rao, in the upcoming biopic, Sachin Khedekar will be seen playing former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nadendla Bhaskara Rao. The shoot began this year in July and the first trailer is slated to be released on December 16. The movie, which is reportedly being produced by N Balakrishna along with Sai Korrapti and Vishnu Induri, will hit the theatres on January 9, 2019.
