Salman Khan hit-and-run case: Victim's son gets some help from charity

The Salman Khan hit-and-run case dates back to 2002 when the actor mowed down pavement dwellers in a drunk-driving incident in Mumbai’s Bandra west area. A victim died while four other were injured. The court case regarding the case has been going on for the last 13 years, with hearing being postponed again and again. Salman had been sentenced to five years in jail by a Sessions Court in Mumbai, but got bail after he appealed to the Bombay High Court.

On June 15, the Bombay High Court postponed the hearing of Salman Khan’s appeal against conviction in the case to July 1, 2015. The hearing was adjourned, as Salman Khan‘s lawyers are in the process of preparing case papers.

While B-town celebs sympathised with Salman, LehrenTV caught up with the dead victim’s son. Their coverage made sure the bereaved family got attention, and even got some help from charity – a cheque of Rs 25,000. Watch the video here.
