Tennis Star Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik are blessed with a baby boy. The nation today, October 3, woke up to the happy news. The couple has named their little boy Izhaan Mirza Malik. The baby’s name Izhaan means submission or obedience (in God) in Arabic.
Earlier today, Shoib took to micro-blogging site Twitter to announce the birth of their first child. The tweet reads, “Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik .”
Sania Mirza’s also took to Instagram to let the world know that she had become a ‘Khala’. Her Insta post read, “Finally!! Best news in a long time!! Congratulations @mirzasaniar@realshoaibmalik @anammirzaaa@imranmirza58 n of course the nani n daadi ♥️god bless our lil angel”
A source close to the family informed Mumbai Mirror that both Sania and the baby are doing good and the little boy weighs 3.5 kg.
Both Sania and Shoaib made the announcement on their Twitter and Instagram accounts in April 2018. They used a very peculiar way to announce the good news to their fans, by posting an illustration of a baby vest and a feeding bottle between two T-shirts bearing their names. The image illustration was accompanied by the hashtag #BabyMirzaMalik.
The post shows the illustration of three sports-style lockers- the left and right ones say, Mirza and Malik, while the middle one says Mirza-Malik.
Sania and Shoaib got married in a traditional Hyderabadi Muslim wedding ceremony on April 12, 2010.
Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik’s love was born across borders and the fight that they had to put up was worth it. Sania and Shoaib decided to get married after five months of courtship and people reacted to their decision by saying that it is an impulsive and rash decision by the two of them. Sania and Shoaib had to face some ugly controversies as they belonged to the two different countries but they fought it all with utter elegance and dignity.
