It is very usual for anybody to forget their small things while travelling and it is very rare that a flight would return to the airport unless there is an emergency call. In the rare of the rarest incident, a flight was forced to return to the airport after a Saudi woman forgot her newborn baby at the airport. The Saudi Arabian Airlines flight had to return at the Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport after the Saudi mother boarded the flight leaving behind her baby at the airport.

The woman realised that she had left her baby at the departure while she was waiting for the hall and she realised that only after the flight had taken off from the airport. Her sudden realisation forced the pilot to turn back the flight to the airport.

Now, the video of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the video, the pilot is requesting Air Traffic Control (ATC) operators to return to the airport. The incident took the ATC operators by surprise and they took the time to figure out the protocol that should be followed in such emergencies.

The pilot can be heard saying, “This flight is requesting to come back…a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing.”

The ATC operator replies, “Ok, head back to the gate. This is totally a new one for us!”

According to Gulf News report, the flight which was flying from Jeddah to Kuala Lampur, returned back to the airport after the Saudi mother informed cabin crew that she forgot her baby back at the terminal.

However, the incident ended on a happy note with mother and daughter uniting again at the Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport.
