In a recent incident of road rage, a motorist rammed into actress Shamita Shetty‘s BMW near Viviana Mall in Thane on Tuesday. The three men on the bike not only alighted to pick up a fight with Shamita’s driver but also slapped and threatened him while abusing the actress.

Though no one was reportedly injured, Shamita has filed a police complaint and based on the statement of her driver, Darshan Sawant, the FIR has been lodged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Rabodi police station. The three miscreants are yet to be identified but Darshan has already provided the accused’s vehicle details.

According to a report by Times of India, a case has been registered under sections 279, 323, 504, 506, 427 and 34 of the IPC. While the police confirmed the incident to have occurred around 1:30 pm while Shamita was in Thane for some personal work, the bike involved in the incident has been identified and an offence has been registered against the trio who are yet to be identified and arrested. As per ANI’s tweet, “Actress Shamita Shetty has filed a police complaint after three bike-borne men rammed into her car & slapped and threatened her driver in Thane on Monday. Based on the statement of the driver, FIR has been lodged under relevant sections of the IPC.”

Currently, Shamita is seen participating on the TV reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 the team of which started shooting with host Rohit Shetty in Argentina last year in July. The show went on air just this year.

Ex-Bigg Boss contestant, Shamita is the younger sister of Bollywood actress and fitness freak Shilpa Shetty. Making her debut in 2000 with the movie Mohabbatein, Shamita has films like Mohabbat Ho Gayi Hai Tumse, Cash and Zeher to her credit.
