Congress leader and writer Shashi Tharoor has been very busy meeting with members of his political party and attending various events, but he did take time out to share some pictures on social media about something more on the entertainment side. From the pictures that he shared, it appeared like Tharoor is a big fan of actor Shah Rukh Khan.

Taking to his Twitter page, Tharoor posted pictures that were taken in a suite that Shah Rukh had occupied in 2013 when he was filming for movie Chennai Express. The room, as per Tharoor, has been converted into a sort of shrine for both the actor and the movie, and he did not miss the chance to pose with each and every picture and cut-out.

About the movie Chennai Express, it was an action-comedy directed by Rohit Shetty and written by Sajid-Farhad and Yunus Sajawal. Apart from Shah Rukh, it also starred actress Deepika Padukone, with Nikitin Dheer and Sathyaraj play supporting roles.

Produced by Gauri Khan, Karim Morani, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the movie was about a man who accidentally boards the Chennai Express train and travels from Mumbai to Rameswaram, and falls in love with the daughter of a local don.

Chennai Express, which was released overseas on August 8, 2013 and a day later in India, received mixed reviews from critics, but it went on to break several box office records both at home and abroad, becoming the quickest film to collect Rs 1 billion net domestically. As of March 2018, it was the eleventh-highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide.
