A man has been arrested on charges of attempted murder after footage emerged of him pushing a Muslim woman into the path of an oncoming train in the London Underground. Closed circuit camera television (CCTV) footage shows the man in London standing far away from the woman before pushing her onto the train, as it arrived at the Piccadilly Circus station. Thankfully, the Muslim woman did not come under the train. She slammed onto the side of the train before bouncing back onto the Bakerloo line platform.
The woman suffered minor injuries during the incident, but she could’ve died! The Director of enforcement and on-street operations at Transport for London, Steve Burton, is believed to have told The Independent, “This type of shocking incident is extremely rare. Our staff acted quickly to assist the woman and other customers at the scene, and we are working closely with the police as they carry out their investigation.”
