Shooting up instantly to become the ‘chartbuster of the year’, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan‘s song, Aankh Maare, from the movie Simmba, has already garnered over 7.9 million views on YouTube in just 12 hours. While the trailer had already got the internet going gaga over it, the massive likeness for the first song from the movie, launched on 5th December, Wednesday, shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Aankh Maare is a recreated version of a hit chartbuster of the 90s. For those unaware, the original song is from 1996 hit movie, Tere Mere Sapne, which was produced by Amitabh Bachchan and was the debut film of Arshad Warsi and Chandrachur Singh.
The new version of Aankh Maare has been sung by Neha Kakkar, Mika Singh and Kumar Sanu. It is also to be noted here that the original song was also belted out by the ’90s romantic king Sanu.

The three minutes 22 seconds video begins with filmmaker Karan Johar saying ‘Oh God! One more remix’. It then continues to show Sara and Ranveer in their energetic best. Twinning in black, the two show some scintillating dance moves that include some locking-popping moves.
In the film, Ranveer plays the role of a selfish policeman who can do anything for money. An unfortunate incident changes his life and transforms him. Sara plays his love interest. However, she doesn’t get much space in the trailer. Sonu Sood looks convincing as a villain. The trailer will give you goosebumps. The film will also have a cameo from Ajay and Golmaal cast. It’s quite evident that Simmba is a paisa vasool masala entertainer.
