Tamil film Sathru, which was released on March 8, 2019 has been leaked online for free downloading by notorious site Tamil Rockers. The film is getting an average response from the audience after receiving mixed reviews from the critics. Directed by Naveen Nanjundan, the action-thriller film features Kathir in the lead role.

The film revolves around a fearless police officer, played by Kathir, who brings to justice five hardened criminals. However, the film has received poor reviews and critics said that the film needs more maturity and handling to make it a perfect thriller.

Earlier big films such as NTR: Mahanayakudu, Bazaar, Oru Adaar Love, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Uri: The Surgical Strike among others leaked online by Tamil Rockers.

Last year Ajith’s Viswasam and Rajinikanth’s Petta had been leaked on the website. The other movies which faced a similar fate were 2.0, Thugs Of Hindostan, Sarkar, Kaala and Vishwaroopam 2.

Tamil Rockers has been involved in the leaking of full movies online for a long time, and despite the action being taken by law enforcement agencies, they are still operating with impunity. The team of Tamil Rockers keeps changing their domain name constantly, making it difficult to track them.

Preventing piracy from happening has been a difficult task, and despite laws, it still continues unchecked. The government had on February 12 introduced a bill in Rajya Sabha to amend the Cinematograph Act and impose a strict penalty to combat the menace of film piracy.

To check piracy, particularly the release of pirated versions of films on the internet which causes huge losses to the film industry and the exchequer, the bill proposes to make film piracy offences punishable with imprisonment of up to three years and fines that may extend to Rs 10 lakh or both.
