We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting. The popular sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S captured our hearts and ruled the TV space for 10 years. But what’s more, even after the decade passed, F.R.I.E.N.D.S perhaps remains one of the most watched and the most loved shows on TV. Revolving around a group of 6 friends in New York, the show takes up through the ups and downs of being a youth, having to grapple with decisions, coming to terms with their work life, finding out their own path in life, the ups and downs of relationships, the marriages, babies… Literally everything! It softened the harsh realities of life and peppered the home truth with some well deserved laughs and jokes.

The cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Greene), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay) and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) are among the most loved celebs today. It was during the show that they first met and through the decade they spent together, they became the best of friends. Rachel and Monica on-screen are best friends and so are Courteney and Jennifer off-screen. The chemistry between them, the fun times and the sarcasm, were all there and it was this bonding that helped make F.R.I.E.N.D.S the success that it ultimately became. And when the news of the re-unuion came out, fans couldn’t wait because F.R.I.E.N.D.S are the best thing that happened to TV in the 90s.

Getting back together and coming up on stage, the cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S reminisces about the fun times they had together, how they bonded with each other over food and games. They even had their own poker nights and special moments which were made into episodes. Talking about their favourite episode, each one can’t but help smile and laugh. While Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) could not make it to the reunion, he did give the rest a special video message and called them up on-stage to talk about the entire experience. They united to praise director James Burrows and how!

They showered praises on James and Aniston even gestured at the full room, the applause and said that this was it, this was his legacy. She went on to add, “He really gave us the opportunity of a lifetime and probably the best ten years of our acting careers that we will forever remember.” David Schwimmer, who is now a director learnt the ropes from James he said. While the tribute was heart-touching and peppered with scenes from F.R.I.E.N.D.S, there were many who felt that an all new F.R.I.E.N.D.S episode would have done much more justice and not an on-stage tribute which lasted only so long.
Whatever it be, we are just smiling seeing our favourite cast all up and back on stage! F.R.I.E.N.D.S, you are forever!
