The Tinder couple who spent three years exchanging messages and putting off meeting and going on a date finally came face-to-face on live television on Tuesday. Josh Avsec, 22 and Michelle Arendas, 21 matched on Tinder way back in 2014 but messaged each other once in a couple of months time, always picking up the conversation and the joke from where they left. Josh Avsec shared their story on Twitter a couple of weeks back and it quickly went viral, so much so that Tinder came to their rescue and said that it will be happy to organize a first date for them and they agreed for Maui in Hawaii. However, before jetting off to Hawaii the pair appeared on Good Morning America to finally see and meet each other.
At the beginning of the show, the pair answered a few questions about themselves separately with a partition wall in between them. The Good Morning America’s hosts Michael Strahan and Lara Spencer seemed just as excited as the two college students. Josh Avsec and Michelle Arendas are both students of Kent University but had never met each other before. Upon seeing each other, the surprise on their faces was pretty evident and they instantly hugged each other. Josh said bashfully, “’It is so good to finally meet you Michelle,” adding, “I’m blushing like crazy!”
