We’ve seen cases of conjoined twins, but not one like this. Abigail and Brittany Hensel’s story is that of courage and a lot of smiling in their daily struggle for survival. This documentary film by Barcroft – The Twins Who Share A Body – takes a look at the dicephalus (two-headed) conjoined twins from Minnesota, who share a body waist down but have two heads, two hearts, two lungs, two stomachs and two spines.
Abby and Brittany are both happy-go-lucky but at the same time have distinctive traits. They coordinate all their daily chores, from brushing their teeth to putting on make up, to swimming, driving, and playing baseball. The girls are just great! And they have full support of their younger siblings, parents and friends.
Twenty-five-year-old Abigail and Brittany Hensel have lead a protected life on a farm in Minnesota with their family. This video is of the time when they were turning 16, which had many turning points in their life. “We wanted to make this documentary so people wouldn’t always have to stare and take pictures because we don’t like it when they take pictures,” says Abby.
