Gudi Padwa 2019 was celebrated on Saturday, April 6. All the devotees in Maharashtra were together to celebrate the first day of the Chaitra month of the Hindu calendar, also known as Marathi New Year. Youth dressed in traditional attire participate in a procession to mark Gudi Padwa or the New Year in Mumbai. This year’s celebration was special because it had fantasy series Game of Thrones (GoT) theme. Mumbaikars once again saw the locals grooving to dhol beats with GoT’s theme song. Aarambha’s musicians performed the GoT theme in Mumbai’s Dombivli during Gudhipadwa Shobhayatra.
The video was uploaded on Aarambha’s official YouTube page. The description reads, ‘Aarambha dhol tasha pathak performing on (Game of Thrones) in Dombivli Gudhipadwa shobhayatra with a fusion of traditional instruments #Bulbul (Benjo) and Dhol Tasha’. Quite a good way to celebrate Marathi New Year we must say!
