Indian champion Sania Mirza moved into the second round of  French Open 2014 women’s doubles and mixed doubles in Paris on May 29. Sania and her doubles partner Cara Black of Zimbabwe progressed to Round 2 of the women’s doubles at Rolland Garross.

Sania and Cara beat the Slovak-Israeli pair of Daniela Hantuchova and Shahar Peer at 6-3, 6-3.

But Sania’s Round 1 of mixed doubles with her Romanian partner Horia Tecau was tougher to win. The pair eventually triumphed over Marcin Matwoski and Kveta Peschke of the Czech Republic at 4-6, 6-3 and 10-7.
