The Indian Premier League 2017 auctions have finally begun in Bengaluru. The players have been going under the hammer from quite some time and VIVO IPL 2017 has seen some shocking deals and bids. After Ben Stokes bagged a deal of Rs 14.5 crore from Rising Pune Supergiants, fellow England player, Tymal Mills followed the lead and bagged a Rs 12 crore bid from Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Virat Kohli-led RCB will now have England’s speedster Tymal Mills in their IPL 2017 squad. 1. Tymal Mills debut in cricket

Tymal Mills began his career with the first-class debut for Essex in 2011. The 24-year-old English cricketer played Sri Lankans in the tourist match of 2011 at Chelmsford. This debut was followed by his debut in the Championship in July 2011 where he impressed everyone with his second innings of 3-48. During the winter of 2011, Tymal Mills was named on the England Performance Programme (EPP). He went on to enter the England Lions squad in the same year having a fast escalation in the teams.

2. The saviour of English cricket

The young and budding player managed to get the required wickets and the right time. In 2012 Mills took 5 List A wickets and average of 58.60. Mills continued to improve his performance and became recognised as the most feared England pacer. In 2014 he joined Sussex. He took wickets at an average of 20 in the English T20 competition, and his pace ensured he continued to stand out. Mills with his attractive numbers and stats came to be known as the saviour of England cricket and made some immensely valuable contributions to several wins.

3. The career threatening injury

In 2014 Tymal Mills was diagnosed with a congenital back condition that threatened to put him out of the game. After battling this painful condition which would have ended his career as a fast pace bowler, Tymal Mills came out victorious and managed to get back in shape at an alarming speed. Tymal Mills recovered from his injury and came back with a speed of 94.5mph, making him arguably the fastest bowler on planet earth!

4. Tymal Mills’ Stats speak

Despite his setbacks and health issues, Tymal Mill has an extremely impressive track record. With an -economy rate of 7.28, he is the second best behind Mustafizur Rahman. His career economy rate is 7.47, and his strike rate is 17.7. On 5 July 2016 he made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for England against Sri Lanka. Tymal has played four T20 matches and taken three wickets in these matches. He has an average of 38.67 and a strike rate of 32.
