The third episode of PM Narendra Modi’s talk show ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday has finally ended. The radio program saw various issues being covered with the topic of ‘Drug Addiction’ being supremely important. The third instalment on All India Radio (AIR) saw Modi discussing various aspects of drug menace, adolescent age, parental issues, yoga, sports and also tourism. Modi began the program with how the youth fall prey to consume drugs.

In his third address to the nation, PM Narendra Modi said that the money today youth spends on drugs ultimately foes in the pockets of drug mafia and terrorists, which in return harm/destroy the security of the nation. Narendra Modi also thanked the people to write to him in large numbers and also urged the netizens to use #DrugFreeIndia on social networking sites to make India a drug free nation.

In his 26-minute long speech Narendra Modi also urged the celebrities and sportspersons from all walks of life to come forward and spread the word against drug addcition. Modi also said that he was delighted to see the enthusiasm and energy levels of the players of Indian Cricket Team who recently won the Blind Cricket World Cup in South Africa. Modi also put an effort to promote the tourism in North-East India region – which is his government’s topmost priority that of connecting NE region accessible to rest of India.

Narendra Modi said that this will be his last address this year and the next time they meet, it will be a new year. Modi also thanked the people to write to him in large numbers and while concluding his address, he wished everybody “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year 2015”.
