High tide in Mumbai at 11.30 am on June 12, 2014, lead to traffic jams on the roads due to water-logging. Areas affected were South Mumbai and Central Mumbai, including Nariman Point, Colaba, Worli, Dadar and Mahim.

This ABPMajha video shows you the pathetic situation. The channel also reports that Raj Thackeray, Chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), stepped out on the road to assess the situation. Thackeray stays at Shivaji Park in Dadar, which has also been affected.

The high tide comes ahead of the monsoon rains that normally hit Mumbai by June 10 each year, but have been delayed this year – with only some pre-monsoon showers at some places.
