Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, who served as Interim President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), wrote to the Supreme Court of India on Friday, July 11, demanding his salary for running the board during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. The IPL 7 took place in Dubai and India under his supervision.

Gavaskar, who celebrated his 65th birthday on Thursday, July 10,  was appointed the Interim President of BCCI on May 28 after the controversy surrounding then chief N Srinivasan.

Gavaskar is a television commentator for cricket matches now and N Srinivasan is the Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
