While planning a dream wedding, a lot of things come to your mind that has to be taken into consideration. From the guest list, decorations, dresses to venue and menu planning, each and everything becomes important. There is one utmost important thing that has to be taken care of – and that is the wedding invitation card. However, one couple forgot to double check and proofread their wedding day plan and left many laughing with a small auto-correct.
Popular Instagram account Awkward Family Photos recently shared a photo of the wedding card, that detailed that guests would be having horse ovaries at 3:30 pm. The caption read: ‘At a friends wedding. I can’t wait for 3:30!’
With the wedding ceremony starting at 3pm and dinner not until 5.30pm, the couple decided to treat their guests to starters. But instead of labelling it as hors d’oeuvres – as they are commonly known in the US – the lovebirds accidentally revealed, “Horse Ovaries” would be served. Hors d’oeuvre means light snacks served outside of the context of a meal.
Take a look at the wedding invite:
As soon as the picture of the itinerary was uploaded on Instagram, it went viral. It has already received more than 6,500 likes. The comment box is full of giggles. One wrote: “Not surprised that they banned cell phones. Horse ovaries are best when not eaten in public.” Another added: “I’m picturing a staff member at the end of the receiving line with their tray of hors d’oeuvres that everyone is too afraid to take…”
How embarrassing it would be for Theresa and Jason.
