Melissa Lee Matos was a drug addict and has been in recovery from drug addiction for almost a year and half now. She is heartbroken over the fact that there are so many people who lose their lives to drug addiction and has now become an active voice against the use of drugs. In an attempt to spread awareness she posted photos of her own life as a meth addict on the Facebook page Love What Matters. She posted her story along with her pictures in hopes that it will open others’ eyes with regards to the dangers of drug and substance abuse. She wrote, “This was what I looked like, daily, for years. This is what my husband dealt with. This is what my little girls walked in on. This is what my family and friends saw, on the rare occasions I left the house.”
Melissa Lee Matos is on the path of recovery and hopes that her experience will help other people to stay from drugs. She wrote, “I was SICK. I was DYING. I was so far gone I thought I could NEVER recover. I was so lost I couldn’t imagine a life without using. I just wanted to die. I didn’t realize I was hardly alive. If you are currently in active addiction, this is my plea to you. Look at these pictures. Images of a dead girl. A needle junkie with a habit so fierce she spent days and nights in a self induced coma on her bathroom floor.” This Bride’s Heartfelt Wedding Vows For Her Four-Year-Old Stepson Is The Most Beautiful Thing Ever Seen!
