The nine-year-old English bulldog Zsa Zsa, who claimed the title of world’s ugliest dog passes away. The owner of the dog, Megan Brainard said that passing away of Zsa Zsa is devastating for him and the whole grieving process is very difficult.
On June 23, the Sonoma-Marin Fair hosted its annual World’s Ugliest Dog Contest where only one not-so-cute pooch could claim the title. No pooch could beat out 9-year-old English bulldog ‘Zsa Zsa’, with an exceptionally droopy tongue.
Zsa Zsa is a testament to the horrifying process of inbreeding that sapped the English bulldog gene pool of its diversity, but, thankfully, she won the unusual competition. The dog’s owner Megan Brainard of Anoka, Minnesota, had received $1,500, a trophy and visit to New York for the win, reported USA Today.

Last year, the title was won by a 125-pound gentle giant named Martha, a Neopolitan Mastiff with a droopy face.
The contest which is in its 30th year saw dogs flaunting their imperfections, from hairless bodies to lolling tongues.
The dogs and their handlers walk down a red carpet and are evaluated by a panel of judges.
