San Leandro, Calif. — Indian American actors Manu Narayan and Anisha Nagarajan, who had starring roles in the Broadway production of A.R. “It was a wonderful surprise to arrive on set and see that Rita would be played by a dear friend and colleague of mine, Anisha Nagarajan, from my hometown — Pittsburgh,” Narayan wrote on his blog.

Nagarajan, a star of the NBC comedy “Outsourced,” will be seen next in the romantic comedy “Jane Wants a Boyfriend.” Narayan — who boasts a long and acclaimed theatrical resume — has a role in Ashok Amritraj’s critically acclaimed festival film “99 Homes” and has appeared in films such as M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Last Airbender.” He just shot scenes for Kevin Bacon’s FOX suspense series “The Following,” and has appeared in commercials for Captain Morgan Rum, Sprint, IMB and other brands.
