Ather Energy Unveils All-New EL Platform and Advanced Features at Community Day 2025

Ather Energy unveils next-gen EL platform, voice-enabled AtherStack 7.0, faster charging, Redux concept, Infinite Cruise, and Rizta Z upgrades at Community Day 2025.

New Delhi – Ather Energy revealed a slew of new product and technology advancements at its third annual Community Day event. The highlight was the launch of the EL platform, a next-generation vehicle architecture designed to drive scalability, cost optimisation, and faster innovation across Ather’s upcoming scooter range.

The EL platform marks a major shift in Ather’s product strategy since the introduction of the 450. Built with insights from over 26 lakh kilometers of rider data, it features a new chassis, powertrain, and electronics architecture. The platform is modular, enabling Ather to build multiple scooter types using a shared component base. Notably, the EL platform simplifies assembly by 15%, and improves serviceability with up to 2X faster periodic services.

The company also introduced AtherStack 7.0, the latest version of its proprietary software suite, featuring voice-enabled interaction powered by a large language model trained for Indian dialects. This upgrade brings proactive features like pothole alerts, crash detection with emergency contact notifications, tyre pressure updates, and real-time location sharing. It also includes new theft-prevention tools like ParkSafe™ and LockSafe™, and improved remote vehicle management via smartphone.

Ather also showcased Redux, a concept moto-scooter that blends the agility of a scooter with the dynamics of a motorcycle. Equipped with adaptive ride dynamics, posture-based transformation, and a futuristic Morph-UI interface, Redux represents Ather’s vision of future urban mobility.

For long-distance and comfort-focused riders, Ather introduced Infinite Cruise™, an advanced cruise control system optimised for Indian roads. It includes CityCruise™ for seamless city riding, Hill Control for inclines, and Crawl Control for low-speed maneuvers. These features will soon be available on the 2025 Ather 450 Apex.

In line with its focus on convenience, Ather unveiled a new fast-charging system. The next-gen 6kW charger is compact yet twice as fast, offering 30 km of range in just 10 minutes. It also includes built-in tyre inflators at select stations.

Lastly, the family-focused Rizta Z scooter received key updates, including a new Terracotta Red colour, touchscreen dashboard activation via OTA updates, and the addition of Eco Mode for enhanced range.

With these launches, Ather Energy continues to lead India’s EV evolution with a focus on intelligence, safety, and performance.
