Ather Rizta Crosses 2 Lakh Sales, Becomes Brand’s Fastest-Growing Scooter

Ather Rizta crosses 2 lakh sales, doubling numbers in six months. Now 70% of Ather’s total sales, it boosts market share across key states and drives nationwide expansion.

Ather Energy has announced that its family electric scooter, the Rizta, has surpassed 2 lakh cumulative sales, marking a major milestone for the company. What makes this achievement even more significant is the pace—Rizta added its second lakh just six months after reaching the 1 lakh mark in May 2025.

Launched in April 2024, the Rizta has quickly become Ather’s best-selling product, now accounting for over 70% of the company’s total sales. The model’s rapid rise is attributed to its practical design, new colour options, and the introduction of a higher-capacity 3.7 kWh battery variant, which has broadened its appeal across diverse customer segments.

Ather’s internal data shows strong market share gains across North and Central India between Q1 FY26 and Q3 FY26. Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh grew from 7% to 14%, Punjab from 8% to 15%, and Uttar Pradesh from 4% to 10%, indicating a wider geographical shift in demand.

The company also revealed that its cumulative nationwide electric scooter sales have crossed 5 lakh units, supported by its expanding retail network of 524 Experience Centres as of September 2025.

Ather’s Chief Business Officer, Ravneet Singh Phokela, said the Rizta has played a crucial role in strengthening the brand’s presence in Middle and North India, with future efforts focused on deeper distribution and accessibility.
