New Delhi: Starting June 2023, Honda Cars India will be increasing the prices of its sedans City and Amaze by a maximum of one per cent in response to rising cost pressures, the company has announced. This price hike is intended to counterbalance the impact of these increased costs.
“While our endeavour is to partially offset the increase, it has become imperative to pass on some of the impacts. We have planned to increase prices for City and Amaze up to 1 per cent from June which shall vary across variants,” said Kunal Behl, Vice President (Sales and Marketing) of Honda Cars India.
The cost of Honda Amaze currently starts at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom price in Delhi), while the City sedan’s price starts at Rs 11.55 lakh. The upcoming price hike will not affect the strong hybrid trims of the mid-sized sedan.
Honda India Cars has confirmed the launch date of the Honda Elevate SUV, its latest model. Hone Elevate SUV will be launched on 6 June 2023. Honda India has released a teaser image of the upcoming SUV via a Twitter post showing its design.

The Honda Elevate SUV challenge the markets of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The SUV’s name was announced by the company earlier this month.
“Honda Elevate has been developed as a new global model in Honda’s line-up to cater to the robust demand for SUVs world-wide. The new model incorporates people’s lifestyle requirements and their expectations for Honda’s New SUV. India will be the first market to launch the Honda Elevate,” said Honda India.
In the tease image, one can see that there will be no panoramic sunroof on the Honda Elevate SUV. The image also shows body coloured outside rear view mirror (ORVM) and shark-fin antenna among others.
