What seems to be unbelievable, a heart-breaker for Bugatti fans and a big disappointment for everyone associated with what most of us knew as the fastest production car on the planet (until today), the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is no longer the fastest!

According to a report by Sunday Times Driving, Guinness World Records has announced that the car doesn't hold the prestigious title anymore. And unlike what most of us believe, it's not a new product that went faster than the French hypercar, it's instead the authorizing committee at Guinness who has stripped the Veyron SS of its 'World's Fastest Production Car' title. The Veyron SS which achieved 431.072 km/h back in 2010 had the speed limiter deactivated while the cars that were sold to the customers had an electronically limited top speed, which Guinness didn't find right. The record thus goes back to SSC Ulitmate Aero.
Bugatti, on the other hand, says that the Veyron Super Sport is 'more than just a world record car'. We'll update you on further updates.
