Photographic highlights from the drive through the picturesque city of Mumbai.

This Independence Day, India celebrates its 67th birthday. For the hardworking individuals who serve our country and make it better whether as armed forces or civilians, this day is more than just a celebration of patriotism by simply holding a flag-raising ceremony or lighting off fireworks.
As should be obvious by now, we here at OnCars like doing things differently and we feel celebrating the 15th of August by having a day off from work and listening to the local politicians speak about the nation’s history is not really being a patriot.
A better way, in fact, of celebrating Independence Day is to rediscover the exuberance amongst the crowd by taking a tour of the present-day scenario, as we did earlier this morning. And what better car to tackle the crowded narrow streets than Audi’s compact yet supremely comfortable SUV, the Q3.

Marine Drive
The 4.3-kilometre-long boulevard in South Mumbai is your best bet to discover Mumbai. International cricket stadium, 5-star luxury hotel, well paved roads, lots of eateries; this road has it all. Marine Drive is also labeled as the Queen's Necklace because if viewed at night from an elevated point anywhere along the drive, the street lights resemble a string of pearls, forming a necklace.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (CST)
The massive BMC building offers an unforgettable view of the stunning Gothic Design which puts it apart from other historical buildings of the city. There’s also a central dome which is highly attractive. It is one of the chief design elements in the whole structure.

Gateway of India
The Gateway of India is quite easily one of the top tourist attractions in Mumbai. Built to celebrate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to the city, the work on the popular monument started in the year 1915 and completed in the year 1924. Within walking distance of the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, the Gateway is a crowd favorite for strolling around and admiring the beautiful shores of the Arabian Sea

Shivaji Park
Probably one of the most recognized parks in Mumbai, Shivaji Park is also the largest park in the city. Named after the legendary 17th century warrior king of the region, Chhatrapati Shivaji, it is of historical and cultural value because of the political and social gatherings it has witnessed, both in pre- and post-independence Mumbai.

Haji Ali Dargah
One of the oldest landmarks in Mumbai, Haji Ali Dargah is among the most popular religious places in the city, visited by people of all religions alike. It is also ranked as one of India’s most famous and prestigious landmarks. People from across the globe irrespective of caste, creed and religion visit the Dargah to offer their prayers.
