Design and Styling:
The new Figo Aspire has been built based on Ford’s new design philosophy that underpins the EcoSport and new Fiesta. So in terms of looks we have to say the Figo Aspire is one of the best in the segment. The new wide horizontal grill and the muscular bumper really give the car an aggressive look, while the sharp headlamp cluster and the sleek bonnet line add to the style cue that can be even seen on the side profile.
Compared the all-new Figo Aspire the Swift Dzire has been is the market for quite a while now and has also received two facelifts. The car looks very much similar to the previous models except for some few notable changes. It still has that beefy persona but now on the front you can see a single chrome slate grille along with chrome inserted fog lamps and smoked headlamps. The bumpers have been redesigned and new sportier alloys have been added.
Judging by the design we have to say the Figo Aspire looks a tad bit more stylish and aggressive. The body finishes of the Aspire looks more premium and overall give you the satisfaction of owning a much stylish compact sedan.
Interiors and Features:
The Ford Figo Aspire shares its interior styling with the EcoSport and Fiesta. The dashboard is sourced from the compact SUV sibling, which looks good. It is spacious enough to accommodate five adults comfortably, and offers good legroom and headroom space for both front and rear occupants. The top-end variant of the Aspire is equipped with an Infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, along with smart docking system is offered to store, dock and charge phone, navigation system and MP3 system. Safety features six airbags (driver & co-passenger, side and curtain airbags), anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), ESP, and more.
In comparison, India's top-selling compact sedan- the Swift Dzire comes with some nice and premium quality interiors but is not as roomy as the Aspire for second row passengers. The company had launched the updated model in February, this year, which is now equipped with additional features like engine start-stop button, new music system, rear power socket and reverse parking sensors.
Engine Specification:
The Ford Figo Aspire compact sedan will be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. The petrol motor is an all-new 1.2-litre Ti-VCT unit, which is claimed to be powerful and efficient. We expect this engine to develop about 80bhp and 110Nm of torque. The oil burner is the same 1.5-litre 4-cylinder that powers the Fiesta that the company claims is much peppier and fun to drive than the one in the later. In Fiesta the diesel engine produces 89bhp and 204Nm of torque.
In comparison, the Dzire gets the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and the 1.3-litre multijet diesel motor. The petrol variant produces 84.7 PS of peak power and 115Nm of peak torque. On the other hand the diesel variant makes 74.5 PS of peak power and peak torque of 190Nm.
