Honda Activa Marks 24 Years with 35 Million Units Sold Nationwide
Honda Activa crosses 3.5 crore sales in India! From Activa 110 to Activa e:, the scooter continues to rule Indian roads with reliability, innovation & trust since 2001.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has achieved a major milestone with cumulative sales of over 3.5 crore units of its popular Activa scooter range, which includes the Activa 110, Activa 125, and Activa-i. Introduced in 2001, the Activa has remained India’s most trusted and best-selling scooter for over 24 years, revolutionizing daily commuting across the country.
From metropolitan cities to smaller towns, the Activa has become a household name, admired for its reliability, ease of use, and low maintenance. The scooter’s consistent growth highlights India’s strong preference for practical and efficient two-wheelers. HMSI achieved 1 crore sales in 2015, crossed 2 crore in 2018, and now celebrates 3.5 crore sales in 2025 — a remarkable journey of innovation and trust.
In recent years, Honda has updated the Activa lineup with modern features and design enhancements. The company has also stepped into the electric mobility segment with the launch of the Activa e: electric scooter, expanding its portfolio to meet India’s growing demand for sustainable transport. To mark this milestone, Honda launched anniversary editions of both the Activa and Activa 125 in August 2025.
Apart from the Activa, HMSI continues to strengthen its product range with models like the Dio 110, Dio 125, Shine 100, SP125, Unicorn, and Hornet 2.0, catering to diverse customer needs. Its electric lineup, including the Activa e: and QC1, showcases Honda’s vision for a cleaner, smarter, and more connected future of mobility in India.
