The company’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Rakesh Srivastava said, “We are truly overwhelmed by the response. Receiving 56,000 customer bookings on strong appreciation and acceptance of the new Elite i20 makes it a huge success. The demand for Elite i20 has doubled, and in November we sold 10,500 units. We are working towards increasing its production for faster deliveries, to offer a delightful experience to customers.”
The new Hyundai Elite i20 comes in two variants sporting a 1.2 Kappa Petrol with Dual VTVT (MT) and a 1.4 U2 CRDi Diesel (MT) engine. While the petrol variant offers a light weight and robust 5-speed manual transmission, the diesel variant comes with 6-speed Manual Transmission. As for the design the Hyundai Elite i20 features the Fluidic 2.0 design concept with wraparound headlamps, front air dam and the new black color C pillars, which adds a distinct visual and sporty element to the overall style of the new i20.
As customer demands, dealers say that buyers highly sought after the white, red and blue colure, especially the top variant. The waiting period has been set at 2.5 months for the petrol variant and 3 to 3.5 months for the diesel variant.
HMIL's premium compact car i20 Elite is priced between Rs 490,000 and Rs 767,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
