Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has achieved a landmark with its flagship SUV, the Hyundai CRETA, emerging as the highest-selling passenger vehicle in India for June 2025. Recording an impressive 15,786 units sold last month, the CRETA continues to dominate a highly competitive market. This milestone also makes CRETA the best-selling SUV in India for the first half of 2025, securing the top spot in March, April, and June.

Coinciding with its 10th anniversary in India, the CRETA’s achievement underscores its enduring appeal and leadership in the mid-size SUV segment. Since its launch in 2015, the CRETA has consistently been India’s highest-selling mid-size SUV each completed year. Such has been its influence that this segment is often affectionately termed the “CRETA segment.”

Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and COO, HMIL, remarked, “CRETA is not just a product, it’s an emotion for over 1.2 million Indian families. Becoming the best-selling model as it completes a decade in India is a testament to the immense trust and love of our customers. We remain committed to enhancing experiences through innovation, safety, and sustainability.”

Over the past decade, CRETA has evolved from a trusted city companion to a vehicle empowering long journeys, embedding itself deeply into Indian households. With its blend of advanced technology, robust safety features, and premium comfort, the CRETA continues to be a top choice for SUV enthusiasts. The recent addition of the CRETA Electric further signifies Hyundai’s drive towards a sustainable future.
