Kinetic Group has partnered with British bike maker, Norton Motorcycles to launch its range of motorcycles in India. The announcement was made jointly by both the partners at the ongoing EICMA 2017. Norton Motorcycles will be launched by Kinetic in India through its premium motorcycle brand – MotoRoyale. Initially, Kinetic will import two Norton motorcycles in India via the CBU route, while CKD assembly will start at a later date. Media reports claim that Kinetic will first launch the Norton Dominator and the Norton Commando motorcycles in India through CBU route. Later, these motorcycles will be imported as CKD units and will be assembled locally at Kinetics facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The new JV will not only launch Norton bikes in India, but will also assemble and distribute Norton motorcycles in ASEAN markets like Bangladesh, Indonesia, Bhutan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Maldives, Myanmar, Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Philippines, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
