Indian Scout Bobber globally unveiled: Price in India, launch date, bookings & specs – All You Need to Know

The Indian Scout Bobber was unveiled to the world in US earlier this week; bookings in India have already commenced with the cruiser expected to be priced at INR 13 lakh.

The Indian Scout Bobber has now been globally unveiled and adds to Indian Motorcycle’s Scout line-up; giving the already retro styled cruiser an accentuated toughed-up look. The Scout Bobber was unveiled to the world earlier this week in the US and already Indian has started taking bookings of the same in India as well. In the west, the price for this cruiser have been slotted at $11,000, that said, it’s prices in India are yet to be officially revealed. Nevertheless, we expect them to be slotted around the mark of INR 13 lakh (ex-showroom). A few of the highlights of the Indian Scout Bobber are it’s chopped fenders, a single seat with a two-tone leather saddle along with a blacked out paint scheme; providing it with a mean look. The Indian Scout Bobber comes with foot pegs which have been moved closer to the rider in order to give an aggressive riding position. Further, the rear suspension has been lowered by one-inch and the handle bar replaced with tracker style unit, with off course, the mirror being mounted on either ends. Other addition include a unique block letter badging on the fuel tank, blacked out alloy wheels and exhaust pipe. Talking about the engine specifications, it is to be noted that the Scout Bobber gets the same powerhouse as that of the Indian Scout. The unit is a 1,131cc, liquid cooled, fuel injected Thunder Stroke III V-Twin engine. The power generating capabilities of this motor stand at 98Bhp along with 97.7Nm of peak torque. The Indian Scout Bobber gets 298mm disk brakes, both at the front and the rear; providing it with the necessary stopping power. Talking about features, the Indian Scout Bobber gets single pod instrument cluster housing an analog speedometer unit; while there is an LCD screen for the odometer, trip meter, fuel indicator, temperature and the tachometer. The Scout Bobber comes with accessories like a passenger seat that comes with sissy bars; also on offer are Bobber Solo rack bag and saddle bag.

The Cruiser will be offered in a total of five different colour schemes, these include Thunder Black, Thunder Black Smoke, Star Silver Smoke, Bronze Smoke and Indian Motorcycle Red. The Indian Scout Bobber will compete against the likes of Triumph Bonneville Bobber, Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber and Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight.
