Triumph Motorcycle unveiled the all-new Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster in India in November last year at the India Bike Week 2017. At the India reveal, Triumph India had revealed that the bike will be launched in the country by early 2018 and today is the D day when the Bonneville Speedmaster will be finally launched in India. The Speedmaster will be the most affordable cruiser motorcycle from Triumph and is based on the Bonneville Bobber. Powering the new Bonneville Speedmaster will be a 1200cc SOHC parallel twin engine with liquid cooling which also powers the Bobber. The unit can produce maximum power of 77 PS @ 6,100 rpm with peak torque of 106 Nm @ 4,000 rpm and will be mated to a 6-speed transmission with assist clutch. In terms of gizmos, the motorcycle will sport ABS with switchable traction control, cruise control and ride-by-wire with two riding modes – road and rain. The motorcycle will also get 12-litre fuel tank which will be 2-litre more than the Bobber. The suspension duties on the motorcycle will be carried out by 41 mm KYB fork with cartridge damping at the front with KYB monoshock setup at the rear. For deceleration, the bike will sport dual 310 mm discs at the front with Brembo two-piston callipers while the rear section will be employed with a single 255 mm disc with Nissin single piston calliper.

We have already seen the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster in India as the bike was showcased at the India Bike Week 2017 in Goa. As far as the pricing is concerned, the new Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster will be pricier than the Bobber by around 1 lakh, which is priced at INR 9.32 lakh (ex-showroom India).
