The images and videos of the much anticipated TVS Apache RR 310S have been doing rounds on the internet since last few months. Now, in a recent leaked footage, the instrument cluster starting pattern of the TVS Apache RR 310S has been revealed. To be precise, the full digital cockpit of the TVS Apache RR 310S will come equipped with a speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge and a tachometer as the basic elements. Moreover, the instrumentation has been integrated with a gear position indicator and a clock as well to offer some more information to the rider. Not only this, the bike also gets a gear shift light, a feature that has now started getting implemented in the bikes of this segment. Engine temperature reading, side stand indicator and twin trip meters are other added features of the screen. For those not in the know, the upcoming TVS Apache RR 310S is based on the Akula 310 concept that was put on display at the 2016 Auto Expo. The company says that it has put in its 34 years of racing heritage in the motorcycle. Since the Akula 310 belongs to the aggressive breed of bikes, it has been given such a name, which means shark in Russia. The TVS Apache RR 310S will come powered by the same 313cc engine that runs the BMW G310R roadster. The mill in the G310R sheds out respective power and outputs of 34 bhp and 28 Nm. Power will be sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission. But, in the upcoming TVS flagship, it is expected to see some fine tuning to meet the purpose more effectively.
Prime features of the TVS Apache RR 310S include dual disc brakes with an optional ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), dual projector headlamps, full digital instrument cluster, as mentioned before and full LED lighting system. Another interesting highlight of this motorcycle is the devil horn shaped tail lamp that has made the visuals all the way more appealing.
Once launched, the TVS Apache RR 310S will take on the likes of KTM RC 390, Yamaha YZF-R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the upcoming Benelli 302R in the Indian two-wheeler market. Expect its pricing to stay around INR 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant.
