Indian bike maker TVS Motor Company has registered a growth in sales of 39 percent in the month of December 2017. The company was able to sell 256,909 units of its products in December 2017 from, up from 184,944 units in December 2016. The company registered a growth of 37.9 percent in December 2017 with total sales of 247,630 units as compared to 179,551 units in December 2016. In the domestic market, the company recorded a growth of 35.4% in two-wheelers segment with total sales of 207,778 units in December 2017 as compared to 153,456 units in December 2016. TVS’ Scooter sales grew by 50.5 percent with sales of 83,640 units in December 2017 as against 55,557 units in December 2016. That said, motorcycles sales grew by 63.7 percent with total sales of 95,281 units in December 2017 as against 58,211 units in December 2016. Total exports grew by 55.8 percent in December 2017 with sales of 47,818 units as compared to 30,694 units in the month of December 2016. Similarly, two-wheeler sales in exports grew by 52.7 percent with total sales of 39,852 units in December 2017 as against 26,095 units in December 2016. Moreover, three-wheeler sales grew by 72.1 percent from 5,393 units in December 2016 to 9,279 units in December 2017.
